Google & HMCT: Target Audience and Aims

Target Audience

After conducting research into the topic of Male Suicide and Toxic Masculinity and looking at who it affects the most I have decided that my campaign would work best with Males aged 18-25 who think they may be suffering with depression or any mental health issue caused by Toxic Masculinity.

A secondary target audience would be anyone who is close to a male of any age as the campaign will have a call to action which takes you to the Samaritans page which will educate people on the signs of depression and also tell them what to do if them or someone they know may be suffering.


Aims

The aim of my campaign is to use song lyrics to bring to people's attention the growing amount of male suicide and to encourage people to know the signs and to know its ok to speak about it. I think by using song lyrics of well known modern songs it will show that it is being talked about in popular culture maybe making males realise it is something that is acceptable in today's society.
