To stop people in their tracks, make them pay attention and inspire much needed conversation and action around suicide, we partnered with the internationally renowned artist, Mark Jenkins, and his collaborator Sandra Fernandez, to create 84 individual sculptures.
CALM 84 PROJECT:
-Reminder of real life lost
-A call to society to come together and tackle male suicide
-Aim: To get people to talk about it
-Shock factor
Not many serious campaigns, the only one I found was the 84 Project,, theres a lot of indie posts on pinterest
In the UK, the highest suicide rate is among men aged 45-49. In the Republic of Ireland, the highest rate is among men aged 55-65.
In the UK, men are three times as likely to die by suicide than women. In the Republic of Ireland, the rate is four times higher among men than women.
The rate of deaths among under 25s increased by 23.7%, reaching 730 deaths in 2018.
