After looking at the previous brand identities for BDF we found that the only main similarities are the logo typeface, the anchor and the vector pieces that go with the logo so I think we will carry all of these across as these are the bits that make the brand recognisable. We both wasn't keen on the colour choices for 2018 as the colours were quite dull and we thought it made the design a bit childish. However, we did like the way that they had used black and white as the main colour scheme and then just added the colour to break it up and for the different districts.

After looking at the previous years we know that we wan't to do something completely different with the design and use analogue as the main media as the topic we have chosen in Freedom so we want to be free with the design. We are also going to use a minimal colour scheme as we think this works well.
